Rustic Embroidery Barn was founded in 2017, by me, Janice Schoonhoven-Rinehart. I am a home based business that provides quality customized Embroidery, Decals, Rhinestones and Branded items.
I grew up in Chowchilla, CA on our family farm where we grew Almonds, and row crops. I was in 4-H and FFA where I raised Sheep and Dairy Replacement Heifers. I enjoyed Sewing, Cooking, Camping, Fishing, and doing anything my brothers were doing. (No sisters...just brothers...3 of them)
So when I decided to grow up, I went to work with U.S. Department of Agriculture, where I worked for 24 years. After retirement from USDA I worked in the banking industry for approximately 9 years.
In 2017, I purchased a multi needle embroidery machine and I haven't looked back. Since then I have added to my business a vinyl cutter, heat press, rhinestones and a printer that lets me create beautiful branded items for my customers.
I live on our ranch with my husband, Billy and all kinds of critters. I have to little dogs...Lucy is my Mini Schnauzer and Blu my Australian Shepherd. All 3, Billy and the dogs keep me going.
I have a very strong tie to the farming community and love being outdoors. Being in this organization of Sisters on the Fly has really meant a lot to me. I joined in 2006 and I am sister #332. I have met some really awesome ladies who's friendship I truly cherish.
